Thank you Jared for not mentioning the best campround on the entire west cost. Its already hard enough to get a spot there, and I’m glad you didn’t tell everyone about it.

  18. Jen Heeg on December 19, 2019 at 10:59 pm

Great video but I really would have loved to see a map with these locations…I’m planning this route and I’ll be googling each of these to figure out where they are. Thanks!

  19. Andersons Outdoors on December 19, 2019 at 11:02 pm

Great video guys! I’m subbed now. I enjoyed this a lot as it made me start looking up these places and dreaming about if we could pull off a trip to some of these places. We just got back from a trip to Cannon Beach, OR and we were so impressed – we want to go back and explore the coast!

good resource but leapfrogging from Sonoma all the way to Oregon misses some of the best beach camping on the west coast in Mendocino and Humboldt Counties.

  22. Fern The Camper on December 19, 2019 at 11:10 pm

Great stuff! I added you to one of my playlists 🙂 Just subbed too!

Should mention where on California coast these campgrounds are. I live on California coast and don’t recognize some of these campgrounds. Also would be nice to state if these camping spots can accommodate tents.

  24. Michel Schweinsberg on December 19, 2019 at 11:13 pm

Goddamn I want to go. I want to go so bad.

  25. Travels with Yoly on December 19, 2019 at 11:14 pm

Wrights Beach CG was off the charts ! Just wish California wasn’t so far from Georgia 🙁

  26. calisdad3 on December 19, 2019 at 11:14 pm

Ya know- Instead of laying them all out on a blanket and insuring a crowded or ‘Campground Full’ experience why not encourage ways people can find their own awesome experiences? AAA ruined Kirk Creek CG years ago when they put it on the cover of Via. Go check the reservations (I did). They are booked up for 6 months and you can’t reserve more than 6 months out. Same for Wright’s Beach. enjoy.

  27. Philip Dutton on December 19, 2019 at 11:15 pm

Dude, you better check how to pronounce Camano. Yeah it doesn’t follow the English rules but if you actually spent time there? I do enjoy your videos!

  28. Britten Miller on December 19, 2019 at 11:15 pm

Preparing to take my car to the West Coast starting Sept. this video helped very much!

  29. John Wigren on December 19, 2019 at 11:16 pm

All the campgrounds near the Bay Area Coast are booked for the winter.. Is it because people can’t afford rent they’re camping?

  30. OUT OF OFFICE Adventures on December 19, 2019 at 11:19 pm

"Cah-May-No" Island… Just sayin’ 😉 Nice video Jared!

  31. Noel Culbertson on December 19, 2019 at 11:20 pm

Thanks for the great list of must-sees. It was great to see Camano Island make the list. I guess that’s why we’ve been having a hard time nabbing our favorite spot!
