  5. oldschooldiy on April 13, 2020 at 4:08 pm

Volkswagon is becoming like Cadillac, you pay a premium for the name! At $70,000, you can get a lot more from other builders!!

  6. Lewis Newell on April 13, 2020 at 4:08 pm

How can the California not be sold in the U.S

  7. One Up Top TV on April 13, 2020 at 4:10 pm

looks like an astro van lmaooo

  8. Victoria Bower on April 13, 2020 at 4:11 pm

I just do not see all electric working in the PNW, for people who go very off road. No electric charging sites. It would be a one way trip. No thanks.

  9. efrain cordero on April 13, 2020 at 4:12 pm

I would be interested very nice 👍🏻

  10. Scott Anson on April 13, 2020 at 4:14 pm

Vw is missing the boat by not selling that in the USA … the Westy is a classic and Americans want that …. sprinter are selling like hot cakes as campers

  11. Dean C. on April 13, 2020 at 4:18 pm

OVER PRICED! Check out the Nissan Recon camper, pop-up built on the NV200. $50,000

  12. MariaJose Amado on April 13, 2020 at 4:18 pm

  13. RaidenTheGreat on April 13, 2020 at 4:20 pm

Dude I love this van. Sucks we can’t buy it.

  14. Diana Balto on April 13, 2020 at 4:20 pm

So WV is teasing us by showing the Eurovan not sold in the US !

  15. Dean Klein on April 13, 2020 at 4:21 pm

Owned a Westie. Vanagon. Useful as hell. Lowes run, no problem soaking up sheets of plywood or lumber. Dogs need to go to the vet? Easy in and out. Brilliant on misty mornings beside a stream, drinking coffee. Unfortunately the engine sucked. Bring me a AWD Westy plug in Electric with 200 mile range – I’m in.

What song is it un the middle? Simon and Garfunkel?

  17. Pam m on April 13, 2020 at 4:25 pm

    VW..listen up..
Bring it to the USA !!!

  18. tattooedjamie84 on April 13, 2020 at 4:26 pm

America needs this instead of gas guzzling keeps overlanding for way way too much money. This is the perfect road trip/camper/family vehicle and that’s why it’s not here because it would crush and capitalize minivan/SUV markets 100 fold

  19. Peter Roberts on April 13, 2020 at 4:26 pm

You may think that the VW California is expensive, and it is but this vehicle holds its value like no other.

  20. Lindy Lund on April 13, 2020 at 4:27 pm

Nissan makes one on the NV200 that is available in the US. Better appointed and costing $50,000.

  21. DaHummerMan71 on April 13, 2020 at 4:27 pm

All electric camper, no. If it was like the chevy volt and had a gas ‘generator’ to charge the batteries if not plugged in to electricity then it would be a consideration. I wouldn’t want to have to rely on a solar panel setup to charge the battery when camping

  22. Electric avenue Bikes on April 13, 2020 at 4:28 pm

Get VW out of USA like we got rid of the french cars. JOB DONE

  23. John Griffin on April 13, 2020 at 4:30 pm

Millions of U.S. boomer retirees are looking for something like this! VW, what are you waiting for?

  24. David E on April 13, 2020 at 4:31 pm

The ‘82 was way cooler and looked more suitable off-road. For the price point I don’t see it being a successful van in the US if it was a better price I may consider it

  25. Ronghui Mr.Ye on April 13, 2020 at 4:32 pm

I really hope this car is in the United States. I will. Definitely buy one. It’s so cool.

  26. Dicky Ball on April 13, 2020 at 4:33 pm

    VW: Very Worthless.

  27. wisenber on April 13, 2020 at 4:34 pm

I’m not seeing an EV being very useful for it’s intended purpose. A full tank and 4 jerry cans can take an ICE version close to 1000 miles between refills. An EV…..not so much.

  28. sicDaVid on April 13, 2020 at 4:38 pm

Sportsmobile Ford F350 4×4. They were the first to convert Westfilia’s (before VW even) back in the 60s.

    Needs solar as an option

  30. Fapa Tlanbo on April 13, 2020 at 4:41 pm

What’s the name of the song at 7:43

  31. Mark Matriix on April 13, 2020 at 4:43 pm

WTF electric camper? Range would be 350 miles MAX. Unless it has a backup generator engine of some sort.

  32. L. F. on April 13, 2020 at 4:43 pm

Volkswagon – please sell this in the U.S. I’m just waiting to buy one. Cash ready :). We don’t have wonderful options here for small camper vans.

  33. Rondo Cat on April 13, 2020 at 4:43 pm

    It is WAY to expensive…

  34. Mason s on April 13, 2020 at 4:47 pm

    Would be cool for $30k

  35. Miclsjc Jf kifjejfj on April 13, 2020 at 4:48 pm

So they call it the California but it’s not even sold in California

  36. Brandon Miller Car Performance on April 13, 2020 at 4:49 pm

    I’ll buy it !

  37. Meh Meh on April 13, 2020 at 4:51 pm

  38. Carina Mora on April 13, 2020 at 4:51 pm

ive searched everywhere and yes i agree its sad that the van is named after California i should be sold here

  39. Mr. Buttermaker on April 13, 2020 at 4:53 pm

Nissan Recon Camper half the price and way better.

  40. Lorddylan Wolford on April 13, 2020 at 4:56 pm

They need to sell these in the us I’d definitely buy one 😍

  41. Jay England on April 13, 2020 at 4:56 pm

Please just sale it in usa?

  42. Barbara Mayle on April 13, 2020 at 4:56 pm

    I want one!!!

  43. William Lucas on April 13, 2020 at 4:56 pm

VW camper van may bring down their corporate fuel averages too far. And electric one will do the opposite. They are already in hot water due to their gas mileage fakery.

  44. Casey Goodman on April 13, 2020 at 4:58 pm

When my Rialta broke down, I was so frustrated I would have bought this that day had it been available.

  45. DSP on April 13, 2020 at 4:58 pm

I don’t understand what the point is of reviewing this van if you can’t even purchase it here in the USA. This video a complete waste of time and resources.

  46. Vicente Ayala on April 13, 2020 at 4:58 pm

I can afford it, I definitely buy one if come to USA

  47. Matthew on April 13, 2020 at 5:00 pm

    Want this so much

  48. Rich Hiegel on April 13, 2020 at 5:01 pm

Very Cool but so overpriced they will never sell!!! Ill get a camper on ebay for 10th of the price..see ya!!!

  49. guyncali2 on April 13, 2020 at 5:01 pm

recon camper if you want a van as good as this.

  50. Mike Potter on April 13, 2020 at 5:05 pm
