Rifle recap: Our top 5 hunting rifles of 2018

In fact, it was difficult to narfrow down this list with all the new introductions. The name of the game is accuracy and quality, though looks are on the side of most of these long guns as well.

#1 best hunting rifle in the world is SAKO stainless synthetic soft touch. Light at 6.35 lbs, comfortable to hold, doesn’t slip, warm on hands, quiet when bumped. Solid receiver and stock. Smooth action. Weather proof. Easy to maintain. Adjustable light crisp trigger. Double safety and magazine safety catch. 5 shot guarantee.
That’s a hunting gun in the real world.
#2. Otherwise Tikka T3 Lite S/S, 6.5 lb, smoothest action on the market, tru- stock, best value on the market.
Guns you saw are not top five. Hunting has it’s own demands, we are not talking bench shooting in perfect conditions.
"accu" (trigger) by savage was merely an attempt like the rest of north American gun makers to catch up to the quality of Sako and Tikka, triggers, who were breaking into the North American market.
Cabelas was then selling Tikka with Burris scope for $1100 Cdn.
Sako at this time is $1200 Cdn.
The machining on Sako and Tikka excels over north america and is no more expensive.
They are number one choice in my opinion.
As far as a semi auto, its Ruger Mini 14 or Ranch rifle for its reliability,

If you want the savage 110 predator i would recommend getting the savage 110 hunter and have it hydro dipped if you want it in camo because the 110 hunter is about a pound lighter
