All you have to do is look at a map of Las Vegas and you’ll see the terrain: Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Death Valley National Park. It goes on and on.

Las Vegas has outrageous outdoor adventure options across the Mojave, high peaks, and canyons. In this video, you’ll see some of the awesome slickrock trails for mountain biking near Lake Mead National Recreation Area. We also paddle on the Colorado River, exploring the otherworldly Emerald Cave. As a finale, we check out the view over the Grand Canyon via helicopter. These options are all easily accessible from Vegas. Set aside at least a day to play outside when you get here.
