If there not chewing flies is it ok to throw a spinner or a soft plastic. I’m not very proud off the bat on fly fishing

Awesome video! I’m brand new with fly fishing with fly line. I can’t cast more than 10 feet. Lol I bought the Rio versiTip II but it won’t cast? Any suggestions guys? And I fish for steelhead and salmon but I’m going to be trout fishing very soon. Thanks

    30# fish? Maybe half that. 40" lake trout are 20# – 30#

That fish’s chances of getting a disease are increased greatly. To much handling of fish removes their protective slime from their bodies
