  1. Ted Graves on April 2, 2020 at 3:36 pm

Is it as durrable as the old Ocean XL boats, for diving, etc. . .?

  2. J B on April 2, 2020 at 3:37 pm

That honestly the perfect style for me but how is the stability? I have a lifetime tamarack angler 10 ft and I can stand in it and I’m 200 pound so would it be better?

  3. Stellicopter on April 2, 2020 at 3:38 pm

I am between getting one of these, a local used Tarpon 100, an old design Pescador 12 on clearance, or trying to order another Lifetime Tamarack to deck out after the first one I ordered was delivered heavily damaged beyond usability. I know you recommended the Lifetime Tamarack as a good starting point. Have done much else with it since the comparison video?

  4. schreinac4 on April 2, 2020 at 3:41 pm

Bought this over the summer from Crescent. Paddles and tracks well. Looking forward to the 12 footer.

  5. adrianS on April 2, 2020 at 3:42 pm

Could an H2Proped be fitted to this kayak?

  6. Cup & Cone on April 2, 2020 at 3:42 pm

That’s an impressive looking yak for the price. I like the semigloss color. How’s the draft with that hull design compared to other boats? Any lower?

  7. Chris Pilot on April 2, 2020 at 3:42 pm

Step 1: Replace the screw hatch with a hinged hatch. Boom! Now it’s an excellent kayak! Haha! Seriously, I hate the screw hatches. If you reside anywhere where the sun shines, those hatches swell up from the heat and it makes it impossible to get them open. It’s easy (and cheap) enough to replace them with a hinged hatch, though. Love the open deck! Now that I’ve owned a kayak with an open deck similar to that, I will never go back to one with a big ol’ center console in the way. I also love that they used MightyMounts behind the seat rather than the flushmount rod holders (originally designed in like 1990). I love that there are companies out there still producing paddle kayaks with an average weight capacity. They can’t all be pedal powered with a 500lb capacity and weight 150lbs.

  8. msp600 on April 2, 2020 at 3:44 pm

Not bad for what you get! You mentioned the Vibe kayaks have the center console (Seaghost) but they have come out with a new Yellowfin 120 that looks interesting. It appears they have also upgraded many hardware pieces on their boats as well. Wonder when you might do some 2019 Vibe reviews? You did a great review of the older Yellowfin 130T and how that held up to rental use but it looks like the new model hatches and seats might be even better? Wouldn’t mind seeing the new Jackson Bite reviewed as well.

  9. Fluffy on April 2, 2020 at 3:45 pm

Great looking kayak. Love to see a video on the Light Tackle model.

  10. Douglas Fonseca on April 2, 2020 at 3:47 pm

if i buy you send to Brazil

  11. Robbie Johnson on April 2, 2020 at 3:48 pm

    Perfect for my wife

  12. Richard Peery on April 2, 2020 at 3:49 pm

Any on the water vids yet? Just sold my Ride 115 & was looking for a throw & go for some local lakes here in Virginia, wife likes the lay out of this one, she’s been using my Tarpon 100…thanks

  13. William Moomaw on April 2, 2020 at 3:49 pm

Please, please do an on-water review; am keen to know your thoughts on speed and tracking vs comparables. I’m in the market for a yak and have been watching/listening to your views on YouTube. Before seeing this vid, I had narrowed my choices to Moken 10, Pescador Pro, Yellowfin 100 and Tarpon 10. I like the Crescent Ultra Light for framed seat, open deck, flat gunwale, wgt.<50#s, Al handles, USA quality and Yak Attack (!!) tracks standard. (Me: 5’10”, 185#s. Fish OR river, stream, bay for trout, salmon, ling and rockfish)

  14. AllThingsOutdoors Mitchell on April 2, 2020 at 3:51 pm

Get this thing on the water! I want to buy one but can’t find any reviews. Thanks

  15. Dawna Gilmore on April 2, 2020 at 3:55 pm

    I like it!

  16. Heath Barkley on April 2, 2020 at 3:56 pm

A shop here in Nashville has had them for some time, I also had not seen any reviews for them. But I don’t think they are a new company. They’ve been making kayaks for a while. They’ve just upgraded their fishing kayak game.

  17. Carl Hopkins on April 2, 2020 at 3:57 pm

So so so bad ass!!!!!!! I really need this kayak in my life.

  18. bluetractorjt on April 2, 2020 at 3:58 pm

I’ve paddled this boat in the summer and it’s really a nice boat. It paddles and tracks really well.

  19. Brandon Lee on April 2, 2020 at 3:59 pm

    Stability test coming soon?!?!

  20. Bradley Miller on April 2, 2020 at 4:00 pm

I definitely like the flat deck surface. I owned a Vibe Seaghost for a bit and the console was just annoying.

  21. Chuck Peacock on April 2, 2020 at 4:01 pm

    What does it weigh?

  22. Trippingonfaith ! on April 2, 2020 at 4:02 pm

Would you recommend for the ocean and how good is the front hatch seal?

  23. Kursah on April 2, 2020 at 4:02 pm

Really debating on picking one of these up. I also see this makes the top 10 under $1000 for 2019 kayaks. And seems pretty popular among your staff @Headwaters Kayak. I’m debating between this and the Bonafide RS117, and a couple other sub-$1000 fishing kayaks. But seeing that I am in Western Montana and am mostly hitting up streams, rivers and lakes…this might fit the bill. I would like to see a video from you guys with this kayak in action though!

  24. Alex Bautista on April 2, 2020 at 4:03 pm

    Seaghost 110>

  25. tim kylander on April 2, 2020 at 4:04 pm

How would you compare it to the nucanoe flint?

  26. Fishdemic - on April 2, 2020 at 4:04 pm

Cant wait to see you try it out. I have a big tuna which was great when I took my kids. Now they have their own yak and I want something lighter.

  27. Taurine x on April 2, 2020 at 4:06 pm

Do you have any idea if these are available anywhere in Alberta Canada?

  28. Dawn LeRoy on April 2, 2020 at 4:07 pm

It is called Ultralight. How much does it weigh? Thanks!

  29. Dwayne Osmun on April 2, 2020 at 4:07 pm

I know your not big fan of sun dolphin but the boss ss has a 500 pound capacity plus its 12 feet long and 4 rod holders and 2 stow lids for 500 bucks..

  30. Ajw 007 white on April 2, 2020 at 4:09 pm

Awesome looking boat looks like if you’re really fun to take out on some Lakes the rivers just have a good old time on it

  31. Jerry Krabe on April 2, 2020 at 4:15 pm

    That hull design is awesome!

  32. Barney Prince on April 2, 2020 at 4:16 pm

Needs a high seat position and it would be a winner in my book👍

  33. Jan Corrigan on April 2, 2020 at 4:19 pm

Very understated but functional kayak, price point and feature rich , if it had a high position seat I would be sold. Made in the Bonafide factory is a huge selling point.

  34. Jonathon lopez on April 2, 2020 at 4:20 pm

Have you had a chance to paddle it on the water? I’m interested in this one because it does have some hull similarities of the wilderness tarpon. If it has the speed of the tarpon i will be buying one. Oh and thanks for bringing us all the new kayaks and footage first.

  35. David Ragsdale on April 2, 2020 at 4:21 pm

Let’s see a video of it on the water. I’m interested in the stability on it.

  36. bigjohn6458 on April 2, 2020 at 4:24 pm

thinking about picking up my first kayak, that crescent lite tackle on their website looks great.

  37. sy i on April 2, 2020 at 4:25 pm

dan would you suggest this over vibe yellowfin 100?

  38. Mike Watson on April 2, 2020 at 4:25 pm

$899 for 12ft looks promising, but how does it paddle and can you stand on it?

  39. Buddha Belly on April 2, 2020 at 4:25 pm

Just the design I’m looking for…open and simple. How would the Light Tackle do for a 6’4” 300 lbs guy plus about 75lbs of gear?

  40. TopHooker _Fishing on April 2, 2020 at 4:26 pm

I definitely want to pick one up this coming year, I’m a smaller angler at 5’7 125 pounds do you think I could stand in this

  41. Carl Hopkins on April 2, 2020 at 4:26 pm

    Stability review please!!!

  42. freestyle yaaj on April 2, 2020 at 4:28 pm

Simple easy design looks good to me. I would want to see how it floats on the water.

  43. Wayne Bazemore on April 2, 2020 at 4:29 pm

Is the Crescent Ultralite equipped with a height adjustable seat?

  44. Jake Boerner on April 2, 2020 at 4:30 pm

My kayak shop has had these for almost 6 months and I’ve been avoiding them because of the complete lack of reviews on them. Thanks for the info.

  45. Dp01 on April 2, 2020 at 4:30 pm

So good to see a true American made product at a realistic price point. I hope people stop buying that foreign made garbage now. Sure, we can’t realistically buy everything American made these days, but there’s no excuse why we can’t support a real American made company and product when we buy our kayaks.

  46. MooMoo Outdoors on April 2, 2020 at 4:31 pm

I’m digging this yak. Light, not too wide, clean deck and very affordable. This will be an awesome skinny water yak.

  47. fisher mann on April 2, 2020 at 4:31 pm

Looks very cheaply made. Think I would save my money for a better quality kayak.

  48. Robert Hoovan on April 2, 2020 at 4:31 pm

Same Company that makes the snowshoes

  49. Trevor Fout on April 2, 2020 at 4:33 pm

Would love to see the 12ft and color options does the seat adjust height

  50. Matt on April 2, 2020 at 4:33 pm

Its seems very plain but very well made. I really like it.
