How to plan a Route 66 Road Trip

How to plan a Route 66 Road Trip

My suggestions of what to use to plan a route 66 road trip.
My husband and I are planning on travelling Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica over a two week period while camping in a truck tent and then travelling home to make a total of 21 days of camping and driving.
This is my first video talking about our preparation.

Me and my friends are going up there to find abandoned cars. We are taking our trucks with trailers, and hauling ass all the way. We are keeping the abandoned cars for our selves. We have been planning for 2 years. We’re ready. 1 month from now!

Nice job sharing your thoughts on planning the trip. Are you going to do a follow up from the trip?  Did you make an electronic copy of your notes?

I know this is old but did anyone tell you you were pointing, a few times, to Wisconsin instead of Illinois? 😊

I’m planning my 66 trip too, I’ve got those maps and the EZ Guide, one more suggestion I’d make is get the official state highway map for each state you are going through. They are free and you can order them online.

My wife and I are planning to try to trace Route 66 next summer when she retires. I ordered that set of 8 maps you show in the video from Amazon. Only $16.00 with shipping. Looking forward to the trip.
