Fossil Hunting At Deep Creek Washington

Fossil Hunting At Deep Creek Washington

Come along with us and we look for Eocene epoch fossils of conifer and metasequoia’s

This location is in Riverside State Park, so to park at this location you do need a Discover Pass which is $10 a day or $30 a year. There is no way to purchase this at this trail head location so if you don’t already have a pass you can swing by the Bowl and Pitcher location here to get one.

This map location will get you to the parking area

Just walk north up the trail road until you see a steep trail off to your left descending down into the creek where you can back track to the fossil location which is located at 47.7574, -117.5496
