Hey gunns love all you guys video’s. But you should invest in a red filter for at least one of your flash lights. It will protect your night vision, it’s not as bad with the reflection from the snow, and you will still get eye shine from animals.

Huge props man, I’ve hiked at night but only in a group in the summer. Don’t think I would ever do it alone in winter.

  8. Can We Survive on February 15, 2020 at 6:44 pm

Glad you enjoyed the video, and THANK YOU for hitting the Like button, we greatly appreciate your support. Couple of reminders for people new to our channel. We don’t make "how to" videos here; this is about 2 inexperienced individuals learning survival and bushcraft skills. Our goal is to slowly learn how to survive and train ourselves to be able to safely navigate various environments and terrain. This video, for instance, was about understanding how difficult it is to navigate a forest at night during winter/snowstorm, should I ever find myself in an actual survival situation in the winter here in Canada. Finally, we do not tolerate mean or rude comments on ANY video. Please be respectful to other viewers and ourselves, else you will be blocked and your comment will be removed. If you have any suggestions for future adventures please share the ideas with us, as we are always looking for new ideas.

  26. Jonathan Knight on February 15, 2020 at 7:10 pm

They were deer tracks if u stop and look at them and know what to look for u will see a kind of arch like a V line arch at the tip of the track where it will make a U shape and sink down in the middle because the way the hoof is shaped I’d say by the way it looks to me to be a smaller to mid size female deer no bigger then 80-100lbs

  27. StephaneGrappelli on February 15, 2020 at 7:10 pm

  29. robert schmude on February 15, 2020 at 7:13 pm

I did this once during the winter with 1 1/2 feet of snow on the ground going out to my hunting cabin and I came face to face with a small pack of coyotes and had to shoot once to scare them off. I was scared half to death when I shined the flashlight down the trail and saw like 30 eyes

  30. The Blue Fox on February 15, 2020 at 7:13 pm

If it was snowing heavier, and there were no animals around, this would basically be Dyatlov Pass.

  31. Fatwap on February 15, 2020 at 7:14 pm

You should have taken Ramo with you. He would have been great protection against all the potential animals.

  32. miklos mata on February 15, 2020 at 7:14 pm

  48. IllusiveWig3052 on February 15, 2020 at 7:34 pm

i know how it feels to come face to face with big animals i was like 2 feet away from an elk and im a short person im only 5,2 so when that happened i was thinking what if this attacks.

  49. Fox blue_64 on February 15, 2020 at 7:35 pm

also going into a corn maze at night with no lights is even scary you have a path to follow but if you lose your way your lost in the dark suronded by corn its scary thinking back to it you think why was it so scary it really shouldnt be but in the moment being alone thinking your lost in the dark is quite terrifying

  50. BuyOneGetOne on February 15, 2020 at 7:35 pm

Coyotes aren’t aggressive towards people lol. They are scaredy cats😋. At least they don’t attack adults they will attack small children if they are alone. But other than that you shouldn’t worry about coyotes. They scatter if they even hear a human in the distance.
