This channel aims to provide you with valuable trailer travel tips and tricks, RV life basics, and motorhome beginners tips. We also plan to upload some of our fifth wheel RV vlog adventures as we travel the country too! It seems people either love or hate thousand trails. Obviously you love it, like many others. The biggest complaint I hear of is that you need to book many many months in advance to even be able to stay at the better ones. What is your (unbiased) experience with this problem?
Loved this review❤️
How did you guys select these RV parks? What made them stand out?
Thanks for the insight for these beautiful RV parks . They are very beautiful.
John and Mercedes! Thank you for the informative videos! We purchased a TT membership about the same time as you last year. I needed to renew but hated to pay $585 for the camping pass, Southwest. So I took your advice and contacted Jim and Brandi Reneau. We saved $115 a year and no sales tax. It was a simple email phone call.
I’m also anxiously waiting for my Berkey water system. I’ve ordered the travel size since it’s mostly just the two of us. Really hoping I get my monies worth.
I’m hoping we can meet one day because I’d just love to sit by the campfire with you guys and chat! You’re so fun.
I’ve never subscribed to a YouTube channel before and I just love The Odd Squad.
Have fun and safe travels. Thanks again for the great tips!
Thank you guys so much for sharing your story and tips with us. My husband and I are thinking of going on the road when we retire from our jobs at the jail we work at. I have gotten so many great insights from your videos. God bless you. Safe travels
Thank you John and Mercedes for a wonderful time and some memories that we will never forget. And thanks to all of the Odd Squad members. We really enjoy reading your comments and hope that someday we can all get together for a Odd Squad meet up. It will be an amazing time for sure. We hope all of you get the chance to meet John, Mercedes, Sage, and wonder dog Skippy.
They are the real deal and really do care about their members. We learned about many of you from them.
Amazing people and amazing odd squad members!
Polly and Alan
Love you guys my husband and I are planning to rv full time by aug 2020 your filling me with great information I would enjoy reading you monthly reading please send to lisaann111@hotmail.com
Verde Valley is close to where I grew up. Prescott. Yes it is a gorgeous place. Many secret places to explore.
You caught Yosemite after a good rainy season. Ha,ha. I like the comment about having a Coke from a glass bottle. Were you referring to the old small bottles that were about 10 ounces.
Whenever you go to one of your favorite destinations take some baby birds with you
Try The Islander rv resort in Lake Havasu City Az. Great place to stay. Spring fall and winter is the best time. Summer is very hot. Top notch resort. Beautiful views.
Wonderful video. I hope you travel here to Michigan in the summer. It is a glorious gem of beauty! The great lakes are a site to behold with many, many beautiful small inland lakes too!
I am shocked. Crescent bar is in my backyard and I never would have thought of it as beautiful, especially compared to all the other spots in Washington. Funny how we don’t look in our own back yards for fun. Love your broadcasts
Is the donettes pooping up a hidden easter egg now? And crunch at that
Love the video and thank you for sharing your favorite rv resorts
My wife and I love your channel and when you stated about the hairpin turn my wife said and John took it with no problem for the place in Arizona by Sedona. I do have an idea as Sage gets older how about a perspective from kids like her on the RV lifestyle?
Fantastic. Thanks very much. Great information. Wets the appetite.
Great video and info
Really liked this video. Awesome reviews on these campgrounds 👍
This is your best video ever! I can appreciate how much time this must have taken to edit. Great job!
Hey there, if anyone is currently camping at Thousand Trails Snowflower, we have a friend trapped in a small trailer with her two dogs inside and a hungry bear rummaging around, looking for leftover dog bits that got spilled outside last night. Upper Fawn, spot #mid 40s
My eyes pop out of my head every time I see one of those Yosemite shots of mountains and waterfalls. My fav is how much fun you 3 are having at these beautiful parks. I got the newsletter. TY God Bless.
Love the BEAUTIFUL background!!! GREAT INFO. GUYS!!!! I saved to watch later file lol!! Knowing me if I didn’t I’d 4get lol!!! LOVES/HUGS!! GOD BLESS
Thank You guys great info
Tuolumne river in Yosemite. It’s pronounced “two wall a me” river. Don’t feel bad, even Siri says it wrong. 😁😁😁
Hi John & Mercedes – I am an Architect that has been inspired by your Channel and we just ordered our new Teardrop Trailer! We also started a new You-Tube Channel titled "Solaris Architects" and was wondering if you can check it out and maybe mention us. I think your channel has grown as fast as it has because you both are brutally honest and a perfected example of it is your popular "Pissed" video. Keep it up!
Excellent video work you guys! You two are pros, and you sound better than news anchors.
Were you at Yosemite during the fire fall?
Mercedes and John (us guys know who the boss is,lol) another great video. who would’ve thoughts there so many great rv resorts? have a great labor day. Peace, Love, and Respect. Herman
You guys are great and beautiful family, why don’t you do some east coast camping for us business owners who can only do weekends on the eastern half of the country. Keep up the good work sfc ret army good luck and safe travels.
Too funny. As a life long WA State resident, crescent Bar is very low on my list of places to recommend. Great to know that others may find the site attractive (but your head might explode visiting our Mountains, lakes, rain forests, glaciers, deserts, volcanoes, water locks, ferries, and many be even meeting Sasquatch).
Another video! These videos are great. So informative and helpful.
great video, we also have thousand trails and love it, how were you able to stay so long at Yosemite lakes
Since I know you guys want to always be real about your experiences, of all the TT campgrounds you’ve stayed at, what % are very nice or better, and what % are not so good to terrible?
We just went full-time, and we’re seriously considering signing up with TT, but I have some hesitations. My in-laws had TT back in the ’90. We thought the membership sounded great! Back then no reservations were needed, and you were guaranteed a spot, even if it meant a night or two in their overflow lot before moving over. The campgrounds were immaculate. The only downside we saw was big gaps around the country with no TT campgrounds. And it was members only. Here are my concerns: it is my understanding now you always have to book reservations for anywhere and anytime and months in advance. I’ve also heard, and seen for myself, that so many of the campsites have been let go and are rundown. I can’t help but compare the 90’s TT with today’s TT. I’d like to try it out with just a basic membership in 1 or 2 zones, but with such a short bookout time – I believe only 60 days, what’s the use? Any thoughts and advise? Thank you for your help and time! Love your videos!
Thanks for sharing this video we have watched this so many times!!! Made a list of all the parks you have stayed at so we can also. Just made reservations for Pacific Dunnes can’t wait to go.
How long do you usually stay at each park????
Thanks again for sharing all your wonderful information.
Roxanne. Happy New Year guys. Enjoying the adventure
As we begin gearing up for the RV life, my fiance and I are hanging on to your tips and advice. We may not go "all in" just yet as our schedules may not allow for that, so the West coast is a little far. As a suggestion, maybe you can rate the top resorts by state, or by region such as the southeast, northeast, etc.
$60 to bust… I’m in a spot that most could never get. Never “honestly” had a job I didn’t get a promo or raise. Really just want to live differently. Where can I go in a rv and get work to support myself. I’m not a hater who complains about those better off. Good for them. I want to live differently but scared to pull the trigger…
Okay, so you almost have me convinced that we need to join TT. We just began our full-time RV life, and my concern is are they where we want to go? After viewing this video, looks like maybe they are. Would love to see more videos like this one. THANK YOU SO MUCH for how you did this video – it has enough info with some footage, but not long and drawn out – thank you for not make us sit though "hours" of footage following you around listening to funky music before finding out where you were and why you liked the place. ❤️
Piss on California!
I am thinking of trying thousand trails membership but i heard a lot of the parks have bad signal… having internet is important to me as I work 9-5 Monday – Friday remotely… what is your overall experience with thousand trails campgrounds and internet
You two are adorable. Baby horse is called a colt. We’re going! Can’t wait!
Thank you both for your you tube videos! Very helpful to see some of the recommended parks. My spouse and I just got our rig so we will be easing into rving over the next several months. Thanks for everything you do. Maybe our pass will cross on the open road.
Well if you guys ever make it to washington state again, dont miss Silver Ridge Ranch. They are considered eastern Wa, however, you are only 40 minutes from seattle. They have full hookups, tent camping, internet boondock camping and the have a B&B. Plus your 15 minutes from Roslyn wa where they filmed northern exposure. Such a quaint little town. Hope your future travels are safe and blessed.
John and Mercedes,
Thank you so much for your kind words about Yosemite Lakes RV resort. I know that I along with all of the employees there appreciate your recognition. Everyone there truly has an investment in the park and the guests experience. We have since left Yosemite to hit the road again full time RVing. Would love to hear from you and get some pointers on you tubing our experiences on the great open road!! Best decision we ever made!! (Again! Lol)
Crescent Bar! My husband and I were raised in Quincy and lived there for over 40 years. We now live in East Wenatchee, just 40 minutes away. We love Central Washington and I don’t think we will ever move away. Where else can you go boating, water skiing, and snow skiing within a 45 minute drive of each other? We are so spoiled here! We sure wish that we knew you were here. We would have stopped by to say "Hi!" Many blessings and safe travels!
Thank you Odd Couple, we appreciate the hard work you put in this video. Lot of edit work went into this. So many good memories for Sage and her mom & dad. Guys keep travelling this beautiful country 🇺🇸, thx for sharing.
