Is it easy to disassemble to but on another kayak?
Random question. Have you updated the rudder Paracord to metal?
Do you have the tranducer in the water pointed down or how’d you mount it?
I have two of these hook2 on my Bass boat and an Elite Chirp on my Native kayak. The Elite is just as good. What I have found on the Hook2 is that a lot of the arches that folks claim are fish, might not be.
The Hook transducer near the motor shows a whole lot more arches with the motor running. Lowrance claims motor interference yet I have a factory mounted system on a brand new Tournament Tracker boat, where Tracker mounts all of them for the least noise. If interference looks just like fish, I’d call that a design problem.
that is called landscape and portrait…
Fck yea ! I like stickers to.
Very professional!
How much have money have you put into you’re kayak. first time watching you’re videos. Subscribe👍🏽
Your videos kick ass. I have the same yak, so helpful
Been watching a few of your videos lately, and was curious as to your overall thoughts on the sea ghost 130. I’m looking to purchase a new fishing kayak, and I’ve been leaning towards the sea ghost. I like all the mods you’ve made as I too would be doing much of the same. Is there any of the modifications you would have done differently? Thanks, and happy fishing.
Hey man, quick question… Why did you use the hobie thru hull kit instead of the gland joints you used on the battery box?
Any update on how you’re liking the fish finder? Getting my first kayak tomorrow and lookin for a good easy to read finder 👍
Sorry this comment is rather late ,but Im getting a seaghost 130 do you have any video or pics of mounting the transducer??
Correct me if I’m wrong. You can by same model but with out the gps and sd card slot for like 230.00?
Why is mine in the simulation mode? Can’t get it out of simulation. Any help? Thanks.
Where did you get you paddle?
It’s nice and thanks for your videos I have done same thing on my thanks for the tutorial
How can i mount it were i dont hit it or anything with my paddle
DragonFly s Screen looks better
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What about the gps!
Thanks again, TJ. You rock.
Cheers from Texas.

Nice video sir! I’m in the r and d process to find the fish finder for my set up this was helpful 👍🏻
Im thinking of something i can interchange between the kayak and jon boat 🤔
Any update ?
If that mounting bracket will work with the X-4 Pro, I need one bad.
Been looking at that vibe hard. Is it the 110 or the 130? Great install vid
Hey watching this video right now making my own battery box, o have that all set now hooking up my hook2 5 splitshot I know your video cut out on it but how did you hook up the relay it came with also what did you do to make the power cord have an sae adapter head on it?
So you got the US + CAN version but there’s a 4,000 US lake map for $30 cheaper, do you think it’s worth it for the US & Canada?
Looks very good ,…will it work if you mount the transducer inside the hull at the front.
How did you mount your transducer? Is it in-hull or mounted on the outside?
hey I just did a little bit of skimming through ur channel and it looks like u have a lot of amazing content. Keep it going man!!!
When you installed the transducer in the space on the bottom of the boat, did you use the thick plastic cover (with holes through it) to hold the transducer in place? And, did it work well for you? Or, did it interfere with the operation?
Thank you, Sir!
Do you use an inline fuse or do you just use another 2 way adapter like shown in the battery box setup and hook it up to the 5 way?
Hi, just wanted to say you have the best diy videos on Kayak out there. I don’t know about the rest of you but I cringe ever time I start to drill in my kayak lol. What battery and how many are you using to power your electronic? Thank you for sharing, 100 % helpfull.
What happens if you tip over?? Is everything water proof?
Thanks for the video man, this has given me some ideas on how I want to mount my own Garmin on my kayak. Keep up the great work 👍
Actually the hook 2 is one of our worst GPS that we sell (I work at bass pro) they use a primitive system HDI when everyone else and the higher model lowrances like the HDS live and TI2 are using HDS look into it your paying for some old tech and it’s definitely not worth it……
Hey bro. Please help. What’s the best fish finder. You can get for under 60 bucks. That actually works an does the job. I want something simple. An cheap. Moneys tight . But would love that extra help. So if u can. Take a minute. I’d highly appreciate it brotha. That is much.
TJ, how did you arrive at placing the fish finder where you did? When you are in the water at the end, it seems like you had to hold back your normal paddle stroke? I have a fish finder but I have no clue where to put it. I’m thinking inside my hatch between my legs so it’s off the deck. Great video! Thanks
Awsome awsome video bro if I’m right I believe I have the same fish finder it was $119 I got it for free from another youtuber If u have Facebook maybe u can run my step by step to help me hood up mine
If you could could you show how you mounted the transducer for me or could you let me know where I could see a video on how to do that
Some of the other Hook2 reviews I’ve come across mention the Auto Depth will switch between scales in shallower water, and put vertical lines across the screen. I’m in the market to pick up a unit before the season hits up here, and was wondering if that was an issue you saw with it as well, or was this really just a matter of setting sensitivity? Thanks man love your videos!
Nice video. Love to have one of those. And don’t forget your PFD!
The Hook2 5 X comes with a GPS. The Hook2 5 comes with map SD card and this only accepts micro SD cards. Is this true ???? Jim
Thanks for describing how you mounted the transducer in one of your responses. I think I’m going for a Hook2 for my new sea ghost 130. I’ll have to check out your battery video.
Excellent video.l have hobie outback and thats the finder im looking at.Is there only 1 hook2 5 split screen? Thanks
You’re coming up on two years with the Hook2. How did it perform that first summer? Are you still using it? Would you still recommend this finder or recommend another? I’m Looking at fish finders for my kayak. Great vid.
Bud I love the video and the detail of your methods only complaint is no PFD!! I know you probably can swim but safety 1st especially if your son is with you kids learn from example just don’t want anything to happen to you so we can keep enjoying these videos!
Hey what kind of camera is that on that stand the green one
what kind of actiaon cam is that on 6:34
I’m thinking of adding a fish finder to my Vibe during this winter. I’ve never used a finder and this is the first boat (of any type) I’ve ever owned, so I’m looking for knowledge from you fishing wizards! Here’s my question…..if a fish finder looks DOWN under the boat, then would you have to back up (reverse the kayak) or pull up and do a 180 to actually fish the area the finder looked at?
Thanx!
