Okay you don’t need to turn your body backwards to paddle. That’s stupid.

  5. Tranquility on January 15, 2020 at 11:56 am

Also, so far as getting in or out, if there is something to hold onto on the dock itself, then grab onto it. In this vid, there was a part of the deck that she could have grabbed onto but didn’t. Although, not all decks have this convenience

Golden rule of kayaking in the ocean. Do not kayak in the ocean if you are not experienced and outfitted properly. We have fatalities frequently around here from folks playing in the ocean and finding out with their lives. Boating over water always has the risk of drowning but a lot of folks do not take this seriously….they just want to be cool and have fun and that leads to trouble.

  12. Kelly Pro on January 15, 2020 at 12:07 pm

recreation kayaking is no laughing matter, its seriously serious

Bunch of folks here complaining about how this is complicated and tendinitis is a major injury…blah…blah, this is NOT a Senior Citizen kayaking course. God, have some confidence, listen to these experienced ppl, and go have fun.

  20. j gil on January 15, 2020 at 12:17 pm

looks weird and unnatural. i’ve kayaked 15 miles at a time no rest, no injuries and it is not like that. and why is the water so calm? that’s not normal conditions.

So loose lips can sink ships, but loose hips keeps kayaks afloat? Seems legit..

  37. Activ8 on January 15, 2020 at 12:34 pm

I did kayaking 2 days ago for my first time and we had a great fun with our friends. Will try it once again, especially when we have a lake nearby our city…

    I LOVE GOING KAYAKING!

  43. joesr31 on January 15, 2020 at 12:41 pm

When I kayak, my fingers keep hitting the side of the boat and it hurts like hell, is there anyway to prevent it, it always bruises my fingers

  44. Tranquility on January 15, 2020 at 12:41 pm

Dude I saw the vid where your dry bag was taken by the bear, don’t put your wallet in your dry bag anymore, bad idea. Better to lose your lunch rather than your wallet.

  45. Scott J on January 15, 2020 at 12:44 pm

Are you kidding? 1:29 put your right hand over the left side of the boat – I hope you like being wet.

  46. Erin Wilson on January 15, 2020 at 12:45 pm

These rules are way too much for recreational kayaking for beginners. Simple. Don’t lean too far. Use full strokes. Sit up straight. All this stuff should be learnt much later, when confidence has grown. But that’s just my humble opinion…

  47. Evie CD on January 15, 2020 at 12:47 pm

    Too much nasal

  48. Chris Burke on January 15, 2020 at 12:48 pm

The only rule that matters to the rest of the world- Stay out of the channel…

  49. TDK on January 15, 2020 at 12:49 pm

haha they make this sound so much more complicated than it is…its paddling for fucks sake

  50. nonh8nsk8r on January 15, 2020 at 12:49 pm

    "Kayaking isn’t dangerous."
Um. Water. Yeah, that stuff you’re floating on that can sometimes move really fast unexpectedly and suddenly fall off a cliff. That’s often called a waterfall. Not dangerous at all.
