Hey guys, I have been following for about a year. I am nearly 60 years old, and I have travelled a lot around the world, but almost all work-related. I love that you go to places and have experiences that can be life-changing, and that you share it with all of us. By the way, I also renovated an Airstream called the Barbara Jean the Vintage Airstream, after my mom, so I feel we have that good connection. My favorite Winter Destination would have to be the Big Island. You can go to Maura Kea and experience real winter weather, and then in the same day be sipping Mai Tai’s down by the beach. I wanted to know how your lives have changed now that you two are parents.

  2. Melek Catalina on January 20, 2020 at 1:10 pm

I’m traveling at the moment and I’m in Amsterdam but I got so tired.. I had my tickets booked for Morocco which I paid €6 (2 way ticket haha) but I’m too tired so I’m just gonna go home. Love winter but unfortunately I didn’t bring the right clothes..

  3. J Silver on January 20, 2020 at 1:10 pm

Hello! I am from Canada, I was wondering how you got to Greenland? Where did you fly to get there? Thanks for the help. I would love to go to Greenland someday, it seems quite expensive to get there..

  4. zalehani lakim on January 20, 2020 at 1:11 pm

Looks like this will be my list for the next 10 years!!

  5. Lenard Stauffacher on January 20, 2020 at 1:11 pm

  6. Mathilde Bourguignon on January 20, 2020 at 1:12 pm

I love winter travel 😀 Going to Sweden this Christmas and I cannot wait! But I have to say that France is also a great destination for winter, the Alps or the Pyrénées are great for skiing. My favourite winter activity is snowshoeing at the full moon to a mountain top restaurant, eating a delicious raclette there and then going back down.

  7. Karine M on January 20, 2020 at 1:12 pm

    Mont-Tremblant ❤️

  8. Emily Mosley on January 20, 2020 at 1:13 pm

How do you cope with the language barrier? Do most Germans know English?

  9. Zen Bayno on January 20, 2020 at 1:15 pm

Been to Yuzawa last year and learned skiing there!! 😀 it’s really awesome. I’m currently in Hokkaido with my family – near Sapporo and we’re gonna go to the ski area tomorrow morning 😀 winter in Japan is AMAZING!!

  10. John Horton on January 20, 2020 at 1:15 pm

  13. Portable Professional on January 20, 2020 at 1:17 pm

This travel inspiration was SO needed. I am about to fly home to Canada (tomorrow!) after months of living in Thailand. The stunning footage and funny take on the cold destinations has me… excited! Thank you for sharing and look forward to the next one <3

  14. renatwin on January 20, 2020 at 1:17 pm

Apart from the once you said, Norway is a really great winter destination (I might be a bit bias). You can go skiing and snowboarding, and there are a lot of christmasmarkets in nov/dec. And in the northern parts of the country you can see the northern lights.

  15. Dessert Geek on January 20, 2020 at 1:18 pm

I really want to go to Vancouver, BC in the winter one day! (There’s this hot chocolate event all over the city during January and February and I keep on not going.) Thank you for the reminder to plan a trip!

  16. Zune on January 20, 2020 at 1:20 pm

Austria, in the south baltic sea; i can’t wait to visit.

  17. KatrinaSavanah on January 20, 2020 at 1:20 pm

I love Quebec City during the winter time! It’s just absolutely magical.

  18. Mara Lorca on January 20, 2020 at 1:20 pm

Excellent stuff guys. I’d love to go to Banff, to Vienna, and to Lake Bled in Slovenia (I think that country isn’t talked about enough).

  19. Sweet T Travels on January 20, 2020 at 1:21 pm

I just watched a short doc on Longyearbyen, Norway, the Northernmost city in the world. THAT’S where I want to go!

  20. Florida Life on January 20, 2020 at 1:22 pm

When going to Austria – you must drink Gluwine aka Muled Wine!!!!
When going to Russia – you must try Sauna and then jump into the snow (in swimsuit)!!! The best time is around New Years, I promise!

  21. Lasting Excursions on January 20, 2020 at 1:22 pm

Hi Kristen & Siya , Love this video of yours. My favorite winter destination is definitely Iceland. The waterfalls look extra magical at that time. We also experienced amazing northern lights and ice cave. Those are the two most amazing experiences of my life.

  22. Vicky Gélineau on January 20, 2020 at 1:24 pm

Winter is my favorite season!! I love the cold and there is something so pure about snow. I’m from Quebec, so I guess I should visit the rest of Canada before going anywhere else. Canada is so big! Love your channel and all the tips you are giving:) Thank you!

  24. Jason Evans on January 20, 2020 at 1:33 pm

Well first of, thanks for a cooool winter trip top 10 😉 My bucket-list winter destination has always been Canada, cause of the wicked snowboarding spots and the mountains I’ve heard about so many times =) Hey, maybe you could do a gag reel of all your winter destinations that you’ve been, for this christmas?!? =D You must have tons of funny outtakes and stumbling in the snow etc. XD XD XD

  25. Sabrina Gust on January 20, 2020 at 1:34 pm

Finland has been on the top of my list ever since you uploaded your Finland videos! It looks so amazing! Thanks for the inspiration ❤️

  26. Sin X Sin on January 20, 2020 at 1:35 pm

  27. Kristen & Siya on January 20, 2020 at 1:36 pm

  28. NtiChilimuikkunen on January 20, 2020 at 1:37 pm

Welcome to Finland! Here is now winter and snow. Good place visiting here is Inari, Lapland and seenging aurora borealis, Pielpajärvi wilderness church, Ukonkivi etc. 😊❄

  29. Unsane mind on January 20, 2020 at 1:39 pm

I wish my girl liked snowy places. I love the beach but sometimes I just want to get stranded in the winter weather. Snowboarding is so much fun and there’s nothing like drinking hot chocolate or coffee by a fireplace after you’re done. As long as I have about an ounce of Sour Diesel, a couple smokes, and a half decent place to sleep I think I’m sure we would love it.

  30. Boyd Smith on January 20, 2020 at 1:40 pm

I like the ring light reflection in Kristen’s eyes.

  31. Mara Grace on January 20, 2020 at 1:41 pm

Banff is a place that gave me major emotions. There aren’t a lot of places I would necessarily go back to since I still have much of the world to explore, but Banff is for sure one of them

  32. elizabethdalloway on January 20, 2020 at 1:41 pm

Oh my God!!! I now hate my job because as a teacher I really only can travel in summer. Gaaah! I’m dying to visit Germany, Austria and Canada. All my life I’ve dreamt of a white Christmas, which is impossible if you live in a semi tropical country. Now I guess I’ll have to ask for a special permission next winter and go to one of these! Very inspiring video

  33. Alicia Una Ryan on January 20, 2020 at 1:41 pm

My hubby & I are going to Canada next year for his 50th birthday & I can’t wait.
    Greetings from South Africa

  34. Sérgio Meneses on January 20, 2020 at 1:44 pm

Hello there ! Amazing tips!!! I loved them all. I wonder if you could give me some tips on Bungalow inns or bungalow hotels around Eastern Europe ( the ones built in wood specially designed for winter season ) the ones that come with a fireplace . I am in the lookout for places like that away from the big cities . Thank you for your time and help in advance

  35. Nino on January 20, 2020 at 1:45 pm

  38. armywife1-4 on January 20, 2020 at 1:48 pm

Your vlogs from Greenland made me want to go! I’ve watched them 2 or 3 times ☺️ same with Finland hehe

  39. Mikeila Li on January 20, 2020 at 1:48 pm

Canmore is within Banff National Park, so you can count the park itself as one destination. That’s totally fine 🙂

I would add Norway and Iceland to that list, definitely. My husband and I did road trips through both, and they were incredible. We saw the best display of Northern Lights we had ever seen in Iceland, and we hiked a glacier in Norway. Unforgettable experiences. Winter destinations are my favourite. I can’t stand hot places.

  40. Ben CG on January 20, 2020 at 1:49 pm

Tromso in Norway is on my list for a winter desintation, although I bet it’s gloriously sunny and crisp in the summer. Also worth considering the Scottish Highlands or Copenhagen.

  41. Matthew Tasker on January 20, 2020 at 1:50 pm

Having just left Banff, Lake Louise and Canmore yesterday, I cannot agree more with you Kristen. So so good 😁 best week of winter wonderland fun ever ☃️

  42. HyggeMaster on January 20, 2020 at 1:51 pm

I live in Finland. I think I would want to go toooo Greenland! Or Antarctica! Remote places seem really exciting to me.

  43. Leanne Klauwer on January 20, 2020 at 1:53 pm

I am planning on going to Canada, but in summer since I have no break now Is it still worth it? If I have to believe the pictures it is 🙂

  44. life2livealways on January 20, 2020 at 2:01 pm

Finland! I want to stay in the glass igloo! 😀

  45. Sherelle Wallace on January 20, 2020 at 2:02 pm

I’m Bahamian, lived all my life in The Bahamas. I enjoyed this video, as I truly enjoyed the episodes you recaped. As great a sales person as you are this left me with one thought: No thanks! You go, send me a postcard! 50 degrees Ferinhiet is my breaking point: I’ll spend my winters at home.

  46. Bumbling Tourist on January 20, 2020 at 2:03 pm

I loved travelling to South Korea in the winter! It was bitterly cold, but there were very few tourists, if any! The snow on the colourful temples was amazing. Hiking in the snow was a highlight too!

  47. Lhouse810 on January 20, 2020 at 2:05 pm

I would love to go to Quebec for winter and au carnival! I’ve only been in the spring but still loved it. Why did Santa give dasher and Donner coffee? They were his star bucks!

  48. Alexandros Papaefthymiou on January 20, 2020 at 2:06 pm

Sinaia Romania. Amazing place between mountains, really close to Bucharest (2hr with train) great food and an even greater ski-center!

  49. John Mccabe on January 20, 2020 at 2:07 pm

Thanks for your help in winter you should try Melbourne Australia

  50. THE BOHO TRAVELLER by Sydney Zaruba on January 20, 2020 at 2:09 pm
